Attention First Time Home Buyers!
Do you know someone that is searching for their first home? Did you know that the $8,000 IRS tax credit for first time home buyers has been extended? And with increased income limits? Go to http://www.federalhousingtaxcredit.com/2009/index.html to see how you might qualify.
ALSO, a new $6,500 tax credit is now available for move-up/repeat homebuyers (see information at link above). The following are more resources to information for assistance:
- www.fhainfo.com: This program allows a first time home buyer to obtain a loan because the risk is removed from the lender by FHA who insures the loan for the lender. The most common loan offered by FHA only requires a 3.5% down payment and that down payment can be a gift from a relative, non-profit organization or government agency.
- www.hud.gov: This is where you will find valuable leads and information about all federal programs that assist first time home buyers.
